Inspiration & Ajkun Ballet Theatre

I love shooting for Ajkun Ballet Theatre: the directors Chiara and Leonard Ajkun give me as much information about their productions as they can, and then I have almost free reign to come up with ideas and concepts that fit their marketing and budget needs.

This particular shoot was for material for Leonard’s new ballet based on the inspiration of the life and work of Francisco Goya, the master Spanish painter of the 18th and 19th centuries.  The production will premier at the MMAC Theater on West 60th St May 26 – 28th.

We decided to take our inspiration from Goya’s paintings, and we shot for several ideas.

The one that stands out most is based on the work titled “The Colossus”.

These are samples of the pictures that went into the final image,  I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did creating them.

I hope to see you at the MMAC in May!
