I’m excited to share images from our first PiggyBack Shoot, last week, with contemporary dancer, Michael Laskaris.
Michael just graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and needed a headshot- that he could afford- before heading off for a tour.
The PiggyBack Shoot with Rachel Neville Photography was a perfect opportunity for him to save him some money and get him what he needed quickly!
Within the hour of shooting (let’s be honest… we probably shot for 45 mins and gabbed for another 45 mins until the dancers for the next shoot arrived, with the full intention of getting together for another mini shoot and longer gab session!), Mike was able to give me 4 to 5 completely unique ‘characters’ or sides of himself. We got so many great shots to pick from!
I’m happy to report that Mike is thrilled with the shots and I hope that you will be too.
Michael Laskaris is a Boston, MA native, who has studied at the American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, and Jacob’s Pillow. He has worked on projects with Aszure Barton, Gus Solomons jr, Lucinda Childs, Sean Curran, and others. When he’s not dancing, Michael works as an administrator at Shen Wei Dance Arts.
Send me a message if you would like to work with Michael for a project and I’ll forward you his contact info, or find him on Facebook.

These are the best head shots of Michael that we have ever seen- and we know; we’re his parents.
Terrific photography work; as well as a handsome subject.
We would love prints!
Best regards,
Katherine and Lew Laskaris
